President Trump announces potential changes will soon be implemented to the H1-B visa program, which will ultimately benefit its holders.
The president made the remarks in a tweet Friday saying the changes will enhance simplicity and certainty while the individual is in the United States.
President Trump continued by saying the amendments may include a “pathway to citizenship” for those in the program.
He also made it clear the United States welcomes skilled immigrants to the workforce who want to explore career opportunities within American borders.
The H1-B program provides an opportunity for educated immigrants, who are required to hold at least a bachelor’s degree, to pursue specialty careers in the United States.
Last year, 65,000 visas were issued by April.
