Former Mass. Gov. Bill Weld Could Run Against President Trump In 2020

Former Massachusetts Governor Bill Weld announced an exploratory committee for the 2020 presidential election.

Weld made the announcement Friday, which makes him the first potential GOP competitor to challenge President Trump.

During the speech, Weld said the U.S. is in danger and urged those in agreeance to stand up and speak out against the Trump administration.

Weld continued blasting President Trump calling him “irrational,” and “compulsive.”

The former governor was previously registered as a Libertarian back in 2016.

Weld held the governorship for two terms in the state of Massachusetts back in the 1990’s.
