The Trump campaign announces the next presidential rally, and the first one of 2019.
The announcement was made Wednesday, and the MAGA rally is set to take place February 11 in El Paso, Texas.
The rally comes as lawmakers on both sides of the aisle work to secure a border security package which includes $5.7 billion for border wall funding.
The COO of the Trump campaign released a statement saying, “As the President continues his fight to secure the border, there’s no better place to demonstrate that walls work than in El Paso.”
Congress faces a February 15 deadline to reach a deal, and President Trump has clarified if Capitol Hill cannot reach a consensus on border security he will consider declaring a national emergency.
The rally will be the first in El Paso since President Trump kicked off his campaign back in 2015, and the seventh of its kind to take place in Texas.
