Roger Stone Indicted In Mueller Probe, No Russia Collusion-Related Charges

Political adviser Roger Stone was arrested and indicted in connection with special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia probe.

Stone was arrested at his home in Florida Friday morning, just one day after being indicted by a grand jury.

The political consultant faces charges of obstruction, making false statements, and witness tampering.

According to the indictment, Stone allegedly made false statements to the House Intelligence Committee and tried convincing a witness to give false testimony.

Despite the indictment, Mueller’s probe has yet to offer evidence of collusion between the Russians and President Trump.

The Russia probe has been ongoing for a year and a half now, and no Trump associates have been charged with collusion-related offenses.

Stone’s first court appearance is Friday.
