Andrew McCabe Confirms DOJ Discussed Invoking 25th Amendment After Comey’s Firing

Former Deputy Director of the FBI, Andrew McCabe, confirms a report suggesting DOJ officials talked about trying to impeach President Trump after former FBI director James Comey was fired in 2017.

McCabe reportedly confirmed the information during a 60 Minutes Interview, according to the interviewer Scott Pelley on Thursday.

Pelley claims McCabe said invoking the 25th amendment to remove President Trump was addressed within the department.

Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein reportedly offered to wear a wire around the president as well.

The DOJ has since fired back at the newly confirmed information suggesting the accusations are ‘inaccurate and factually incorrect.’

President Trump also weighed in on the information calling the entire situation the “Hillary Scandal” and the “Russia Hoax.”

The New York Times reported months ago Rosenstein had been willing to wear the wire around President Trump, but Rosenstein denied the allegations.

The bombshell confirmation comes as Mueller’s Russia probe has been ongoing for the last two years, and still has failed to provide concrete evidence of any collusion.

McCabe was removed from the FBI back in March.
