Covington Catholic Student Sues Washington Post For $250 Million

Covington Catholic High School student Nicholas Sandmann sues the Washington Post for $250 million following a confrontation which went viral at the March for Life last month.

According to the defamation lawsuit, it was filed Tuesday because the publication targeted the minor with “a modern-day form of McCarthyism.”

Sandmann’s atorneys have said the Washington Post was the ringleader as it bullied the minor to advance its anti-Trump agenda.

The legal team went on to say the string of news organizations “attacked, vilified and threatened” Sandmann.

A video went viral last month when Sandmann, wearing a MAGA hat, was confronted by 64-year-old Nathan Philips.

False information circulated quickly defaming Sandmann suggesting the confrontation was fueled by racial differences.
