Secretary of State Mike Pompeo announces an ISIS bride born in New Jersey will not be allowed to come back to the U.S. after pleading with U.S. officials to come home.
Pompeo made the remarks Wednesday saying 24-year-old Hoda Muthana is not an American citizen and will not be returning to the U.S.
The top American diplomat went on to say she has no valid U.S. passport or legal basis to return and warned Americans against traveling to Syria.
President Trump weighed in on the decision via twitter suggesting both him and Pompeo agree on the decision.
Muthana reportedly left family members in Alabama back in 2014 and traveled to Syria to join ISIS.
After leaving, Muthana took to social media to encourage Americans to incite violence.
Since leaving, Muthana disclosed during an interview the past few years have been horrendous and she felt she was “brainwashed” into making a mistake.
She was an ISIS bride three times and has an 18-month-old son from one of the marriages.
Muthana is currently at a refugee camp in northeast Syria.
