President Trump is set to meet with Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro in an effort to bolster bilateral ties between the two nations.
The pair are expected to meet Monday afternoon at the White House to discuss issues concerning the fight against socialism and global trade.
Many draw similarities between the pair, even calling Bolsonaro the “Trump of the Tropics” for his Brazil-first agenda.
Reports claim both President Trump and Bolsonaro are expected to sign a Technology Safeguards Agreement allowing the U.S. to use Brazil as a launch pad for rockets.
Trade with the Chinese is also likely to be a topic of discussion because both leaders have repeatedly criticized it for being unfair.
Congratulations to President @JairBolsonaro who just made a great inauguration speech – the U.S.A. is with you!

Bolsonaro’s meeting with President Trump is part of his first overseas trip as the Brazilian president.
