Acting Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney says the Democrats will never see President Trump’s tax returns as the left continues to try to gain access.
Mulvaney made the remarks during an interview Sunday saying the Democrats know they will not gain access to the documents.
He went on to say the issue was already addressed during the 2016 presidential election and voters elected him regardless.
This comes after House Democrats sent a letter to the IRS formally requesting the president’s tax returns last week.
Lawmakers asked for both personal and business tax returns ranging from 2013 to 2018.
President Trump has emphasized he is under audit and will therefore not be releasing his returns.
