263,000 Jobs Added In April, Unemployment Falls To 3.6%

There were 263,000 jobs added to the American workforce in the month of April significantly surpassing experts’ predictions yet again.

The Labor Department released the findings Friday which showed 190,000 more jobs added than Wall Street had expected.

The data indicated the unemployment rate fell to 3.6% which is the lowest level since December 1969.

Wage growth was measured at 0.2% which increased the average to $27.77.

The findings come as unemployment levels across various minority demographics have reached all-time records lows.
