An Alabama State Representative sends shockwaves on both sides of the political aisle after weighing in on the state’s abortion ban in the works saying, “Some kids are unwanted, so you kill them now or you kill them later.”
This is stomach curling and makes Ralph Northam look like a moderate on abortion.
Every Democrat running for President needs to be asked where they stand on this. The extreme turn we’ve seen from Dems on abortion recently is truly sickening. https://t.co/KchZfqvQMK

State Representative John Rogers made the remarks in a video that circulated on twitter late Wednesday saying, “You bring them in the world unwanted, unloved, you send them to the electric chair.”
Rogers remarks have sparked backlash from Republicans and Democrats alike after the state advanced an abortion ban which will make it a felony to perform the procedure in the state if it continues to advance.
During the debate, Rogers also mentioned children who may be aborted could be “retarded” or “half-deformed.”

The State House previously approved the bill prohibiting abortion during any point in a pregnancy in a 74 to 3 vote.
The bill only allows an exception to the ban if the mother’s health is compromised.
The bill is now expected to head to the State Senate for another vote.
