Pres. Trump to Meet with Chuck Schumer Following Border Tour

The president made the remarks via twitter on Sunday saying he will meet with the senator 'ASAP' just days after he toured a facility at the border.

President Trump says he will meet with Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer after the senator toured a border facility and coined the conditions “inhumane.”

The president made the remarks via twitter touting the visit saying, “Senator Chuck Schumer has finally gone to the Southern Border with some Democrat Senators. This is a GREAT thing!”

The president continued by saying while Senator Schumer was touring the facility, there was a group of migrants attempting to enter the U.S. illegally.

According to President Trump, the confrontation between border patrol and the migrants left a number of border agents wounded.

The president continued by saying, “He [Schumer] must have seen how dangerous & bad for our Country the Border is. It is not a “manufactured crisis,” as the Fake News Media & their Democrat partners tried to portray.”

The incident referred to in the president’s tweet is likely pointing out an incident on Friday which took place near McAllen, Texas in the middle of the night.

According to a report, dozens of migrants attempted to enter the U.S. illegally which left some border officials injured while they were forced to use tear gas to counter the confrontation.

The president’s tweets come just days after another report surfaced suggesting the Trump administration has reunited 95% of kids at the border with either their parents or sponsors.

That report was conducted by the House Oversight Committee and indicates the White House has ultimately reunited all children at the border despite false claims by the left.

It remains unclear when the President with meet with the lower chamber’s minority leader.
