British PM Asks Queen to Suspend Parliament Over No-Deal Brexit

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson asked the Queen to suspend Parliament on Wednesday in order to push through a no-deal Brexit.

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has asked Queen Elizabeth II to temporarily suspend Parliament in order to prevent lawmakers from pushing through new legislation on a so-called no-deal Brexit.

In a letter to lawmakers released Wednesday, Johnson said he “spoke to Her Majesty The Queen to request an end to the current parliamentary session.”
