The Trump campaign is expected to fly an ariel banner reading, “SOCIALISM DESTROYS OHIO JOBS. VOTE TRUMP” before the next Democratic debate Tuesday.
The campaign will fly the banner from 12:00-3:00pm and 3:45-6:45pm in Westerville, Ohio, shortly before 12 presidential hopefuls take the debate stage.
The Trump campaign communications director, Tim Murtaugh, weighed in on the move saying, “While Democrats will use the debate stage to paint a glamorous view of their socialist agenda, Team Trump is here to expose the truth behind their job-killing policies and remind Ohioans what’s at stake in 2020.”
The Trump campaign also secured an entire page in the Columbus Dispatch newspaper demonstrating President Trump’s successful economic policies and how they have directly impacted Ohioans.
This comes about one month after the Trump campaign flew a similar banner in Houston before the third round of democratic debates.
The banner read, “Socialism will kill Houston’s economy!” and was flown for about four hours ahead of the debate.
Tonight’s Democratic debate will begin at 8 p.m. and feature candidates like former Vice President Joe Biden, Senator Elizabeth Warren, Senator Bernie Sanders, Senator Kamala Harris, and former Congressman Robert O’Rourke among others.
President Trump slammed previous debates calling them “boring” while also emphasizing low ratings.
The New York Times will be hosting the debate, which will take place at Otterbein University.
