Rhode Island Shooting Leaves 3 People Shot at Senior Community

A shooting at a senior living facility left three people shot in Westerly, Rhode Island, prompting local schools to go into lockdown.

WESTERLY, R.I. — Three people were shot Thursday at a federally subsidized senior housing complex in this beach community, State Police Supt. Col. James M. Manni said.

A state police tactical team responded to the Babcock Village apartments, Manni said. There was no information on whether the gunman was in custody.
