Former President Donald Trump sat down in an interview with his daugher-in-law Lara Trump on her podcast The Right View, and announced that he plans on having a rally with his supporters. “In fact, we’re thinking about doing one relatively soon just to let everybody know that there’s hope in the future,” Trump said. This would be the first rally that Trump has held since leaving office in January.

When Lara Trump asked the former President on whether or not he plans to run for President in 2024, Trump replied “You do have hope, that I can tell you,” You do have hope. We love our country, this country. We all owe a lot to our country, but now we have to help our country.” Polling shows that Trump is strongly favored to win the Republican nomination in 2024 if he decides to run again.

It is unclear whether or not President Joe Biden will run for re-election. Biden, who becomes 82 years old in 2024, was asked by CNN Chief White House Correspondent Kaitlan Collins to clarify if he would run for re-election. “I said that is my expectation,” Biden replied. Collins asked Biden to elaborate if that meant Biden was going to run. “Look, I don’t know where you guys come from man. I’ve never been able to travel. I’m a great respecter of fate. I’ve never been able to plan four and a half, three and a half years ahead for certain,” Biden said. If Trump were to win in 2024, he will be the first President since Grover Cleveland to serve two non-consecutive terms.
